You can be a champion in God’s eyes at your age.

King Joash was only 7 years old!

bootstraps icon7 Muddy Ducks:

Fun and Engaging!

Usually when this story is told it centers on an unsaved man that is introduced to a miraculous God by the prophet Elisha.

To only preach/teach that from this miraculous account of God’s merciful grace really short-changes the whole story.

This is actually about the faith of 3 different people: Naaman, The Little Maid, & Elisha. Based upon II Kings 5: 1-14.

Illustrated with "muddy ducks" in the Jordan River. We used 7 rubber ducks & a bowl of water [slightly merky]; another time we presented at a stock tank and a volunteer took 7 muddy ducks in the water. FUN & engaging.

bootstraps iconHow Did I end up Here?

Three point message using a pair of Boots as visual.

A different look at Ruth from the perspective of Ruth 4:17.

What if Ruth had just sat down and decided to give up in Moab?

  • She might have been killed for her faith in the God of Israel; no one in Moab would have wanted to marry the widowed “believer”.
  • She would have missed the blessings.
  • She would not have been the Great-Grandma [27 generations later] of Jesus.
  • What if she had not believed God was able? And not pulled herself up by the bootstraps, believing God is able to perform all that He places on your heart. Faith pays.

bootstraps iconSo You Think you Have Troubles:

Genesis 27: 2-3

You can be a useful instrument to God just like Joseph was in spite of your “troubles”.
